verified
2. You must bring 2 passport size photographs for your trekking permit.

3. Due to climate change, weather on the Annapurna Circuit is becoming less predictable. High-risk weather conditions can cause significant damage to the trail even outside the rainy season, and during the winter months, the Thorong La Pass can be closed due to heavy snowfall. Should this occur, alternative arrangements will be made by your group leader, and you might switch to the Annapurna Base Camp itinerary instead, details of which can be found by searching our website for Annapurna Base Camp.

4. There are dirt roads stretching from Besisahar until Manang. Travellers may need to walk on the road in most of the trekking sections at the beginning. We try to use the alternate walking track to avoid the road as much as possible. The jeep ride from Kagbeni to Kalopani on Day 12 is also on a dirt road and can be bumpy.
verified
5. This trip ends in Pokhara. Tuuur offers a pre-arranged transfer and flight service option back to Kathmandu airport. Enquire with your agent at least 30 days prior to your trip departure.
verified
6. You must bring an emergency fund of USD 500 in cash with you on this trip, which you may need to use in case of delayed or cancelled flights. This is especially important should you choose to opt to take a helicopter as this will be at the travellers expense.
verified
7. Any excess luggage can be stored at the starting hotel in Kathmandu. As trip ends in Pokhara, most travellers generally head back to Kathmandu for onward travel, and can pick up excess luggage at that time. If the traveller is leaving Pokhara direct, the Trip Leader can arrange for a private vehicle to transfer luggage to Pokhara at 110 USD. This cost may be divided among the interested participants.
verified
8. Please be aware that in the event of an emergency evacuation, Tuuur does not have control over which helicopter service may be used. Some helicopters are not in regular use with Tuuur and have not passed our internal safety auditing.

This is the most amazing trip I have ever been on. Four women in their sixties and friends for 45 years! How amazing it felt to be out walking everyday avd to successfully meet the challenge of trekking up to 5416m! It was hard but worth every minute. We trained beforehand and were glad we did.

We are are group of women in our mid sixties who decided to take on this trip as a bucket list challenge. We trained hard before and we did it well. Our guide Raj was fantastic and hugely supportive. It was a life time experience.

I absolutely loved this trip! If you’re considering hiking at altitude in Nepal, Intrepid does a fantastic job of making it both achievable and enjoyable. I wouldn’t have been able to complete the distances or reach the altitude I did without the support of the guides and crew — they were incredible throughout.
Intrepid also attracts a really high calibre of people, which made the experience even better. The group was fun, encouraging, and supportive, and it made such a difference to share the journey together.

We were so lucky to have Ritesh as our guide leader, Pasang and Jimmy as our assistant guides and the team of porters! Everyone was caring, warm and always greeted us with a smile. No problem was ever to big for them. What an amazing team! I hope everyone down the track gets to experience having them as your guide!

Fantastic trip with highly experienced guides, Parabita (she climbed Everest!) and Dower (extensive experience) and Sangita (fully of energy). We felt safe and secure. The scenery was beautiful. The weather was sunny but it might be more of a slog if it’s rainy. Bring a face mask for the dust on the road in the earlier days. Would highly recommend this trip!

This trip will teach you things about yourself, and about the beautiful natural scenery abundant in Nepal. Parbati, Sangitha, and Dawa were excellent guides and made the trip fantastic. If you like hiking and you want a challenge, do this trip!
