Trip Informations
Why you’ll love this trip
Dive into a nature lover’s paradise at Khao Sok National Park, exploring, hiking, relaxing and cruising by longtail boat on a limestone cliff-circled lake.
Taste Thai tradition in the village of Mod Tanoy with a group lunch full of authentic flavours. Made by your friendly homestay hosts, you’ll learn about their secret recipes and learn a little about their daily lives.
Encounter the fusion of cultures that gives Penang its atmosphere – where historic buildings, tumble-down shops and hawker-filled alleyways meld with cool street art. Then, explore Melaka’s heritage streets to learn about the mixed cultures and how they thrive together.
Find a slice of paradise on a sea-kayaking trip through the stunning inlets, caves and hidden lagoons of the Baan Bor Tor mangrove forests.
Soak up a free day in Ao Nang – a resort town in Krabi. Laze in the sun, go swimming and snorkelling in the sea or take a daytrip to island hop, hike or go for more sea-kayaking.
Is this trip right for you?
You’ll get to travel overland through multiple countries on this trip, which means that there are some longer travelling days on public and private buses – as well as an overnight train – but it also offers a great chance to interact with your fellow travellers, soak up the scenery, or catch up on some podcasts or your travel journal.

This tour gives you a snap shot of Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. The tour was mostly enjoyable, however a slightly extended itinerary giving an extra 1-2 days in Malaysia would be great. We had different tour leaders (Jane in Thailand) and (Andy in Malaysia/ Singapore). Both leaders were knowledgeable of the respective destinations, helpful and easy to approach.

Great trip. We were lucky to have Issy (Thailand) and James (Malaysia) as tour guides. Very well organized trip with lots of included activities, guides also provided suggestions for other options during free days. Great accommodations, meals and transportation. Though it is recommended to have rather smaller suitcase(s), due to limited space on some vehicles.

Very well organized tour. Great destinations. Expect to travel on local train and busses, so do pack light, no large suitcases. Definitely book extra night or two in Singapore, it has lots of attractions.

The trip gave me what I was looking for, and more. I wanted to learn more about Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. At the end of the trip I realized that not only I had learned a lot, but I had also met two incredible people, our guides Jane and Rau, and became forever friends with my fellow travelers. Congrats Intrepid for having the best guides, they are a huge reason for your success.

This is a wonderful introduction to some beautiful parts of Asia, with a great mix of cities and culture combined with outdoor and nature activities. Our leaders Chandran and Issy on both legs of the trip were outstanding and made the trip smooth and memorable!

The trip was excellent traveling through Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. This was our first time to this part of Asia, but it was a great introduction. Our guides Oat and Rau, kept us engaged, and well informed. They were enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the places we visited. I enjoyed how they encouraged us to have our meals together in the evening. We were never bored and always on the go. This was a very memorable trip.

This was a good trip with two excellent tour leaders, Jinny and Andy! The only unpleasant aspect of the tour was how cold it was on the overnight train! No one in our group could sleep despite we had fleece or sweater on! The only member that could get some rest worn a down jacket she brought from the UK! Rest of the trip was fun and interesting!
