Take in scenes of sheer rock walls, deep valleys and flower-filled meadows on foot in one of Italy’s most iconic hiking destinations.
Stay at a hotel surrounded by parkland and native woods within easy walking distance of the town of Dobbiaco.
Hike the Three Peaks of Lavaredo loop – a full day's walk that’s widely regarded as the most scenic trail in the Dolomites.
See the naturally formed Earth Pyramids of Platten – among the tallest and most striking pyramids in Europe.

Is this trip right for you?
The Dolomites sees pleasantly warm weather, with hot summer days and rain and thunderstorms on occasion. It can get cool in the evening throughout the year so bring warm clothes. Good walking clothing including waterproof wet weather gear and appropriate footwear are a must.
You’ll walk up to 14 km per day, with a maximum elevation gain of 800 m. You may wish to bring walking poles with you.
On Day 7, you’ll take a cable car ride from Versciacio to the start of your walk. The views are stunning, but if you suffer from vertigo, you may feel slightly uncomfortable.

I’m an Intrepid fan and about to take my 8th trip. Love the balance of group travel but with time for yourself. Love that all the logistics are sorted and the leaders outstanding. Can’t recommend more highly!

Highly recommended! If this trip is right for you, physical rating 3, then do it! This was my 7th Intrepid adventure and they always deliver on their promise. Hiking the Dolomites is special - it is an amazing World Heritage area with lots of cultural surprises. The tour base is Dobbiaco. You unpack once and do 6 days of hiking. A small intimate group of up to 12 people is expertly led by a talented Intrepid leader. We had Vincenzo, he has amazing!

fantastic experience, the hikes were strenuous at times but really doable! We had fantastic weather, although some rain for 2 days. Definitely bring a good waterproof jacket and pack cover! Dobbiacio was a great base to stay in for the week. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent trip, highly recommend. Tour leader V went over & above to ensure the group got the most out of each location & experience. Mix of picture perfect alpine days and more dramatic weather. Challenging hikes, poles very useful. Pack for cold & wet just in case, mountain weather highly variable! Really fun group, stunning scenery, solid exercise, great food & drink, excellent tour… 5 stars!

An amazing trip. A mixture of first snow for the season than sunshine. Magda our magnificent leader, who was patient with all, gave us a great experience. I enjoyed it all.
