Space is at a premium in Europe and your hotel is no exception. Rooms are often small, but usually the central location makes up for that. For those travelling as a duo, hotels in Europe often don't have double beds, but rather two single beds that can be pushed together.

The food was great and meet our expectations of a food adventure. We tried many local foods and drinks, and Maria was an excellent tour leader, sharing some personal experiences related to the history of Portugal which made the trip memorable. Overall, an excellent tour we would definitely recommend

Wonderful combination of city and rural Portugal. Sampled lots of wonderful foods, olive oil, wine, port and visited great local restaurants. The absolute highlights were Casa da Cisterna (especially the night walk to see paleolithic art), olive oil tasting and meal at Marvao and the custard tart making lesson.

This was our first tour with intrepid, and we didn’t know what to expect as we usually travel on our own and we didn’t want to have a lot of people with us. It turned out excellent our guide. Maria was so great and informative and enthusiastic that has made me think about booking my next trip with intrepid. we never felt there were too many people and the people that we did meet we took on as friends.

I would highly recommend the Food and Wine tour of Portugal. It was an 8 day adventure exploring Porto, Lisbon and the Duro and Coa Valley. Our leader Maria was caring, knowledgeable and supportive of all in our small group. Great to have local insight throughout the week.
