Is this trip right for you?
The bloody rule of the Khmer Rouge is a painful but important part of Cambodian history to confront. If you would rather not visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21) and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, just let your leader know.
You’ll visit a number of temples that require a certain level of modesty. You’ll need to bring clothes that cover the shoulders and pants or skirts that go past the knees. A light scarf is also a good idea for covering shoulders and arms when it is hot.
In 2026, Khmer New Year (Songkran Festival) will be on the 13th to 15th April. This is a fascinating and rewarding time to see the country, however, you do need to be prepared for some businesses to be closed, tourist sites to be very busy and for transport to be packed as many Cambodians are travelling around the country. Please consider your travel arrangements carefully before booking travel for this period.

Sreymom was our tour leader. She was excellent and sincerely cared for us. The hotels chosen were very good and the timings chosen for the tours helped us beat the crowds and heat. She also knew the history of each monument and temple.

This was my first trip with Intrepid. We took the Premium Cambodia trip. Our guide, Channa was personable, great sense of humor and knew the history. Our group we travelled with was a fun, well travelled group. I enjoyed visiting both cities. Loved Cambodia food and the people!

This is an interesting and very informative trip. If you get Muny as your trip leader, he knows his stuff. Accomodation is excellent, trips and optional trips are well organised plus next taste sensations depending on your bravery.
