Is this trip right for you?
The drive from Pokhara to Chitwan is on very windy roads as you climb up and down mountains, be prepared for a lot of corners and don't forget to buckle up.
A moderate fitness level is required for the hike in Pokhara and walks in Chitwan National Park. This trip does not go to high altitude, so acclimatising will be relatively easy.
Please review the Transport section of the Essential Trip Information for details about plane travel in Nepal, associated risks and the safety measures we have in place.

I’d recommend this tour for those who want to experience a snapshot of Nepal’s highlights. Our guide Satya was, however, the real highlight. His efficient professionalism combined with his gentle demeanour elevated our holiday to another level.

I really enjoyed my short time in Nepal. The trip provided a great variety of activities and a nice balance between hectic days and relaxing days. Highlights for me were our visit to Tibetan Village and making Momos with one of the women there and the stay at the Jungle Lodge. Niben was a great Tour Leader and I was lucky to be part of a great group of people. My only regret is I did not do the optional flight over the mountains - I was more keen to see them from ground level than above but unfortunately we never did see them as it was so hazy the whole time.

This was our first tour ever! We have loved it. The care and information given by our guide Subash was excellent. His energy was great to be around for 8 days. Chitwan safari was our fave part -our guide Subash also had an eagle eye we found 22 rhinos! We ll do another intrepid trip.

Everyone should visit Nepal. It may not be a “main character” country, but it’s one you have to experience. We absorbed the culture, heritage, wildlife, beauty, flora, and fauna, with Amit, our tour guide, as a wonderful ambassador. Breathtaking and soul-renewing.

Our Nepal trip with Intrepid turned out to be an awesome trip with Amit as our tour guide. The Himalayan mountains were unlike anything we have seen. The culture, food, and friendliness of the Nepalese people were amazing.

Exceptional! From the flight to see the stunning Himalayan mountain range to the rugged adventure spotting rhinos in Chitwan National Park, this trip offered an experience like no other. Subash, our tour leader, made sure we were safe and took care of us every step of the way.
