This trip includes some long travel days. Although this can be tiresome, it’s all part of the adventure and a great way to get to know your fellow travellers and enjoy the picturesque scenery.
verified
Lots of time allocated for optional activities means freedom and flexibility, but also a level of independence. Only a few meals are included, but your leader will have plenty of suggestions for great eats at any budget. This is a great way to mingle with locals and discover unexpected delights!
verified
You'll be spending a night with a local family on this trip. While the accommodation is shared and basic, this is a great opportunity to connect with the local people (and enjoy delicious home-cooked meals!). Read more about the experience here: https://www.tuuur.com/adventures/cambodia-homestay-experience . https://www.tuuur.com/adventures/cambodia-homestay-experience (https://www.tuuur.com/adventures/cambodia-homestay-experience)

Temperatures and humidity can be high in Cambodia, especially when walking around sights like the Angkor complex, where there may be little shade. Be prepared by taking plenty of drink breaks and wearing appropriate skin protection. Some travellers find an umbrella handy to keep the sun off (this will also come in handy if it rains!).
verified
You will visit a number of temples on this trip, and this requires a level of modesty. Be sure to bring clothes that cover your arms and pants or skirts that go past the knees. A light scarf is also a good idea for covering shoulders and arms when it’s hot.

This trip is part of a longer itinerary. You might be joining travellers who have already spent some time together. If you have more time to explore, you might like to check out our Epic South East Asia (TTYAC) or Epic Vietnam to Cambodia (TVYSC) trips.

If in doubt, just book the trip! I didn’t know what to expect for Cambodia but I had friends that had done it and recommended it and it was beautiful. Such harrowing but important history to learn about and the people of Cambodia are incredibly resilient, kind and welcoming. Spending time on Koh rong was one of the highlights of the tour and well timed after spending the day prior learning about Cambodia’s history in Phnom Penh. Long was also a great tour guide! Our group was in agreement that we would have loved an extra night in Siem reap to both have more time at the homestay during the day and then more time in Siem reap. An extra night in Koh rong also would’ve been amazing but overall such a good trip!

Cambodia is one of the most beautiful countries I have ever seen and experienced. We had a great travel group of like minded people and learnt a lot. We experienced everything from cities, to island living to staying with a local family and receiving a blessing from a Buddhist monk - and of course the beautiful temples of Angkor Wat and the surrounding area.

Thank you Bo for an amazing trip in your beautiful country! The itinerary was well-planned and everything was organized perfectly, we definitely could get a deep insight into Cambodian culture and see places which we would have missed without a knowledgeable local guide, thank you!

Great value for money. I didn’t even pay that much to have my own room most of the time, and we did so much in such a short space of time. Extremely well organised excursions and trips and travel times/days. Additionally we had the most amazing tour guide Tola who was nothing but kind, attentive, personable, acted like our friend but more importantly super on the ball with everything and incredibly organised. We learned so much from other tour guides for the stops we made in Cambodia who were also incredibly kind, informative, easy to learn from and encouraged follow up questions. Any admin issues were also helped out by Tola very last minute and again super organised if anyone was missing any important documentation. Overall it was a great experience and despite doing a lot at a fast pace, it didn’t feel overwhelming.
