Trip Informations
Why you’ll love this trip
Embark on a journey to Iceland and experience its magic in any season – whether that’s soaking up the midnight sun or searching for the Northern Lights!
Chase waterfalls in a country known for its flowing cascades. Visit popular sites like Gullfoss and Geysir in the Golden Circle and then head off-the-beaten-track to sites like Gljufrabui and Gluggafoss.
Explore Southern Iceland – a world of striking contrasts – with a local leader who knows all the secret spots. Walk past blue-white icebergs at the Jokulsarlon Glacier, ford the fjords and soak up the silence of the surrounding grey sand desert.
Visit Thingvellir National Park – the Eurasian and American tectonic plates may now be pulling apart, but over a thousand years ago, this was the site where Iceland's first parliament came together.
Choose your own adventure in Reykjavik with loads of free time – whether that’s soaking in geothermal seawater at the famed Blue Lagoon or snorkelling at Silfra Fissure.
Is this trip right for you?
As accommodation on this trip is multishare, you will share a room with other travellers of the same gender. This means travellers on the same booking may be split between rooms due to the single gender rooms. Triple-share, quad-share and multi-share bunk accommodation may be used depending on the season and the make-up of the group. Please also be aware that many guesthouses in Iceland offer shared bathrooms rather than ensuite facilities. Rooms in Iceland can be small, and at times you may be accommodated a short walk away from the main building.
Iceland can be cold throughout the year, especially at night. Please bring appropriate clothing for adverse weather conditions. Waterproof pants, jacket and sturdy shoes are required for all seasons, including summer. There may be occasions where your leader has to alter the itinerary and activities due to the weather. In winter months, this itinerary may run in a different order, although inclusions will remain the same.
Due to the remote locations we visit, there are a few long drives on this trip. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the scenery and spend some time getting to know the other members of your group. On this trip we are travelling in our own private minibus with complimentary wi-fi.

Important notes
1. Iceland can be an expensive destination, especially in terms of eating out. In remote areas the only option for dinner will be at the guesthouse we are staying at. Stock up on food at a supermarket prior to arrival if you would like to opt out eating at onsite restaurant. Please make sure you read the itinerary carefully in order to know what is and what isn't included in the trip price. Your leader will be able to advise on how to save money.
2. A single supplement is not available on this trip.

This trip was one of the most amazing I’ve done. Iceland is a truly beautiful country with some of the most stunning landscapes I’ve ever seen, and I don’t think I would have seen anywhere near as much if I’d travelled by myself. The guide Arni was knowledgable, kind, funny and brought a great energy to the group. Our group was mainly solo travellers and we formed great friendships with endless laughs and fun! I would highly recommend this for solo travellers as it’s great to share such amazing experiences with other travellers. We made lots of stops to supermarkets to buy food for lunch and dinner and there were also some options for hot food for lunch. The age range in our group was early 20s to early 30s which I thought was great as a 28 year old. The only negative is that the trip is advertised as 6 days when it’s actually 3.5 days - I think the advertisement should be updated to accurately reflect this.

Packed itinerary. It didn’t feel like we had any long drives because we were stopping every hour to see a new waterfall, cliff or canyon.

I really enjoyed my trip in Iceland run by Erla, the trip was very outdoors focused and it was so nice to spend all that time in nature, there were some long driving days but there was a lot of stops and the scenery was amazing the entire time. Come prepared for all types of weather and remember that Iceland can be scarily expensive and you’ll have a great time!

Highly recommend this trip. This was my first time as a female solo traveler and it exceeded my expectations. The guide was great and so was the group. Although the trip is named 6 days in Iceland the actual tour is really only 3 1/2 days. I would recommend adding a day or two at the end of the trip to explore Reykjavik and maybe an additional day trip or activity. If you are thinking about this trip, book it!! Also the bus that we traveled on and the accommodations were all very nice.

Couldn’t recommend this trip more! Everything in the itinerary was perfect. No T too much driving at all, busy days and every stop we had was incredible. Was the perfect and easiest way to travel Iceland, and we had an amazing group and a perfect group size. I would recommend everyone to do it!
