If you're lucky enough to get Mustapha as your tour guide, you'll be in great hands! Overall, this trip is very well organized, authentic, and covers a lot of diverse ground. It's a good balance of scenery, site seeing, activities, and down time, though be prepared for a lot of driving (the private transport is very comfortable. So is the bus from Essaouira). November is cold there, so bring warm layers for the mountains and the Sahara at night. I was glad to have my hiking boots for the mountains and a pair of sneakers for everywhere else. You'll visit several small, locally-owned shops and co-ops along the way which are the best places to purchase quality souvenirs and goods (as opposed to Marrakech). I was blown away by the all the fresh food we had. Expect to spend $15-20 on meals not included. Most accommodations were nothing fancy or luxurious, but comfortable and charming. Our group was small and we all had a blast getting to know our guides, and each other. This was my first trip with Intrepid, and I will be using them again!
