verified
By travelling on this trip, you’ll learn about our Tuuur Foundation partner, World Animal Protection. Donations support them to promote better living conditions for elephants in captivity and help rescue elephants from inhumane conditions. Tuuur will double your impact by dollar-matching all post-trip donations made to The Tuuur Foundation.
Is this trip right for you?
verified
Prepare for hot and sticky temperatures during the day, but cooler climates in the evening. Layers are the best way to tackle this. Be sure to also drink plenty of water and use sun protection.
verified
You and your family will visit several temples on this trip, which means covering up arms and shoulders as per the local custom. A light scarf is a great idea for covering shoulders and arms when it’s hot.
verified
Your overnight train journey (Day 4) is quite long. Make the most of it by checking out the scenery and chatting with local travellers. There's nothing quite like waking up on a sleeper train in a new and exciting destination. While bedding is supplied some families choose to bring their own sleep sheets.

We had a wonderful time on our Thailand tour! The trip was nicely paced, and it was so much fun that we didn’t even realize how quickly the time flew by. Our tour leader, Kate, was approachable, friendly, and made the experience even more enjoyable.

We had a great trip from Bangkok to Chiang Mai with Katie, who took great care of us and always kept us well fed with so many snacks! There was a nice balance of activities and free time, and all the accommodation was of a fairly good standard. The elephant sanctuary visit was very popular but my fave was definitely hiking and swimming the seven levels of waterfalls at Erawan National Park. Highly recommend the zipline extra if you've got older, adventurous kids - amazing fun & magnificent views!

Loved seeing and experiencing all the out of the way places including accommodation, eateries and sites. There’s no way you’d be able to research and find them on your own, their local knowledge was well worth it. And our group bonded so well and how we interacted was half the highlights.

I enjoyed every second of our Intrepid trip. As a single parent with two teenagers, a family group tour was absolutely the best decision. Quality time together making unforgettable memories, but seeing my kids bond with others in the most beautiful destinations was the highlight for me as a mother! Thank you to our exceptional tour guide, Nok

Our first Intrepid Family Trip, which exceeded our expectations, and gave us an opportunity to show our daughter how beautiful and diverse Thailand is and for us to make new friends with other families.
