Imagine a place where ancient ruins crumble between lush greenery, rocky cliffs tower out of the Mediterranean Sea and small towns dot the southern coastline – this is Lycia. Spend an unforgettable week hiking along the Lycian Way – a path once used by ancient Greeks and Romans – joined by a local leader who will add historical context to all your discoveries. You’ll reach ancient cities like Olympos, Aperlai and Sidyma by foot as you journey through the wilderness. Go on afternoon boat tours on the Mediterranean, take part in cultural activities, feast on traditional meals and watch the sunset by the water, making sure to balance active adventure and rest.

Highlights of the Lycian Way is a well designed and beautiful hike. Guided by Ali who is outstanding, we had an exceptional experience. I would recommend this walk to anyone fit enough to cope with some steep walking. Ours was truly a memorable experience.

An incredible trip if you enjoy hiking, history and swimming. Our leader Onur was beyond fantastic and so knowledgeable about the various ancient sites visited. He really went above and beyond to make sure we were always happy. Our driver Mehmet who was with us for the week was also so kind and accommodating. The small family run guest houses were great, with lovely hosts and I ate more than I needed just because the food available was so great! I could almost do the trip again and still learn so much more!

If you get a chance to do this trip grab it with both hands and run with it! This has been the adventure of a lifetime. Trekking through incredible landscapes, learning about Turkish history and culture, staying in local guesthouses, eating local cuisine, it has all been sensational!

Ours was a big group of 15 but such a friendly cohesive bunch. Some long days of walking and poles were necessary on the rough steep trails. Cahit was an amazing guide. All strongly recommended. The only problem was the intolerable night clubbing noise at the Argos Hotel in Antalya at the start.

This is my second Intrepid tour, and more than met my expectations. Though the group size was larger than the previous one which concerned me a little being a tour only a week long, we knitted together really well. Group consisted of citizens from USA, Australia, UK, South Africa, and Switzerland and we all got along famously.
Soooo looking forward to my next tour in The Caucuses in 10 days time - woohoo

This trip has a wonderful combination between walking the beautiful Turkish coast, being immersed in nature and the heaps of historical ruins that are dotted across the walks. November is a great time to do the trip. We had 20-25°C, ideal for walking and the tourist crowds were gone.

It’s a fabulous hike whilst visiting out of the way places in southern Turkey visiting so many little places you would not normally be able to access.
It was certainly a tad challenging when on the inclines over the rocks but many options if a late afternoon swim in the turquoise oceans.
Lots of walking in the shade which helps on a hot day.
Definitely take good hiking poles and correct footwear for hiking.
Onur is a fabulous knowledgeable leader with a wealth of knowledge especially regarding the hike and we had perfect coolish weather for the last hike in November.
Highly recommended.

This was an enjoyable trip, and a great way to learn about the history and topography of the Lycian Way, but the hikes were quite strenuous and in some cases technical. Be prepared for up and down! Onur was a fabulous guide!
